Side effects of taking paracetamol

Paracetamol is a painkiller used to cure many scourges ranging from backache, arthritis, toothaches, colds, fevers, muscle aches and joint pains. Despite their important roles, they come with adverse negative effects as highlighted by Professor Michael Doherty , a rheumatologist at Nottingham University.

Before using it, talk to a doctor to give you some advice on how to take it and maybe avoid if you have some conditions.

Here are the side effects you need to know;

1. Stomach pain

Ever wondered why you are always complaining of a stomach pain without any apparent reason? You have already thought of possible reasons as to why you are always having stomach upsets. Maybe, it could be the food you ate, a sign of water-borne disease and such. Paracetamol is also believed to cause this condition.

2. Nausea

It is a feeling of physical unwellness, usually with the desire to vomit. It caused by varied factors and can be a symptom of an impending infection. People who take panadol are likely to experience it as well.

3. Fatigue

It has been listed among the side effects that come with taking paracetamol. In some cases, fatigue may occur after overdosing. When you want to use this drug, remember to follow the chemist’s instructions.
